Hand The Ball was started by two-time Olympic participant in handball Lasse Boesen, who in 2008 met with Ole Bruun Andersen to develop a simplified version of handball, that could be played by everyone, everywhere.

The aim was to shift focus from competition and results to the social and activating element of the game, and make it an inclusive activity unlimited by participants’ age, gender, experience and skill levels. Both Lasse and Ole soon realised they’d developed a concept that could benefit children and teenagers world wide.

The staff has since then expanded and Hand the Ball is today runned by:
